Home Modification and Repair Services

As we age, it may become more challenging to keep our homes in good repair. Sometimes our needs can also change a bit which necessitates a little home modification. In such cases, Raleigh’s Housing and Home Improvement department is a lifesaver! The work is performed by licensed general contractors and volunteer craftsmen. The team is skilled at jobs such as installing ramps or grab bars in the shower and bath. They can also handle most plumbing jobs, HVAC work, light carpentry, and roof repair. For those who are interested in making a few repairs or improvements and not sure who to call, this is certainly a wonderful option. Although recipients of these services are asked to pay a portion of the true cost, based on their household income, those who are on a fixed income are certainly eligible for these services as well.
