Joe is an experienced banker with over 30 years working in a wide variety of positions. His background includes working for Bank of America in Princeton and its predecessor banks including , United Jersey Bank, Summit Bank, and Fleet Bank. He has held a wide variety of Banking positions including supervisory positions in residential and commercial mortgage as well as business banking departments. He also held a key position in several banking merger and acquisitions. Before joining Alpha Mortgage’s reverse team, he served as First Vice President with Provident Bank in Jersey City, NJ. He was department manager of the mortgage, consumer and business loan areas. He is a graduate of Union College and Rutgers University, and holds a BA Degree in Management.

Personal Information:

Joe relocated from New Jersey 10 years ago and resides with his wife, Brenda of 48 years to St. James Plantation in Southport. He has three daughters and three grandsons. His interests include golf, fishing, kayaking, and coin collecting. He has a keen interest in the Civil War, is an active member of the local Civil War Round Table and collects related memorabilia.

Outside Work:

Joe has served the community well and is active in several service organizations. He is the past Treasurer of the Habitat For Humanity and is currently an active member of the Finance Committee. He is a former Director of the Salvation Army, and American Cancer Society. He is a current member of the Kiwanis Club of Southport/Oak Island, and Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart Church. He also coaches young boys and girls in the First Tee Golf Program, teaching golf along with the nine core values. In addition, Joe is a CIS (Community in Schools) mentor volunteer at the South Brunswick Middle School.

Philosophy and Goals

After receiving his NMLS Mortgage License, Joe decided to specialize in reverse mortgage lending to help seniors with their unique financial needs. The government insured program allows seniors to supplement income through the Reverse Mortgage Program. The program can eliminate monthly mortgage payments, provide funds for specific purposes, a line of credit availability and future reserve funds. Joe likes working to help mature customers solve their current and future financial needs. He works with honesty and integrity with great communication and follow-up. In addition, the H4P program, HECM for Purchase allows relocating seniors to fund the cost of a new home and eliminate monthly mortgage payments.
